Madeline Wiseman

Madeline Wiseman

Madeline is a litigator with state and federal court experience in impact cases. Before joining Student Defense, Madeline worked at the Tennessee Justice Center representing clients enrolled in public benefits programs like Medicaid and SNAP. In that role, she represented a class of Tennesseans at trial in federal district court along with individual plaintiffs in cases designed to press novel legal issues. 

After law school Madeline clerked for four years, first for the Honorable William H. Orrick on the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of California and then for the Honorable Michael Daly Hawkins on the U.S. Court of Appeals for Ninth Circuit. Madeline received her J.D. from Berkeley Law and her B.A. from Georgetown University. Before law school she taught 2nd grade in New Orleans as part of Teach for America. 

*Madeline is admitted to practice law in Tennessee and California. She is practicing in D.C. under the supervision of members of the D.C. Bar pursuant to D.C. Bar Rule 49(c)(8).
